The Espace Léonard de Vinci has programmed a charity comedy date: on Sunday 18 October 2026 at 6pm, comedian Yohann Métay will perform 'La Tragédie du dossard 512', his one-man show inspired by taking part in the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, a legendary race of over 170 kilometres. The show is listed in the City of Mandelieu-La Napoule's official Pink October 2026 programme.

In this breathless one-man show, the comedian, described by Cannes Actus as a former sports teacher, turns two days and two nights of exertion into a formidable lesson in self-mockery: cramps, hypoglycaemic episodes, eccentric rivals, hallucinations and inner demons all become comedy material. 'A show everyone recognises themselves in, even the most sedentary,' promises the show's official presentation.

The starting point is a simple question: why would a man decide to run around Mont Blanc, on foot? For pride, to find meaning in passing time, to become someone... When fantasies of glory collide with the limits of the human body and hallucinations make the marmots talk, it simply has to become a show, and a funny one if possible.

The performance is part of Mandelieu's Pink October programme, which lines up charity events all month: a charity gala, a sports challenge for the Ligue contre le cancer, and the 'Énigme rose' walk on that same 18 October at Plage du Château. According to Cannes Actus, proceeds from Yohann Métay's show will go to the fight against breast cancer.

Ten years of triumph

Yohann Métay has performed 'La Tragédie du dossard 512' for over ten years across France. After the Avignon festival in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018, the Comédie de Paris and the Théâtre Tristan Bernard, he closed his Paris run on the legendary stage of La Cigale, his official website recalls. The artist is now also touring with his new show, 'Le Sublime Sabotage', in France, Switzerland and Belgium. Before devoting himself fully to the stage, Yohann Métay spent three years with the French improvisation team, his official biography recalls.

'La Tragédie du dossard 512', Sunday 18 October 2026 at 6pm, Espace Léonard de Vinci, 809 boulevard des Écureuils, Mandelieu-La Napoule. According to Cannes Actus: full price 18 euros; concessions 12 euros; members 14 euros; free for under-12s. Online ticketing.
